SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Outpatient Therapist - 'Ohana Resiliency Center

About the Role

Join the founding team of our brand-new outpatient mental health program at the 'Ohana Resiliency Center! As an Outpatient Therapist, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care through individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Your work will directly support the emotional and psychological well-being of children, adults, and families across Hawai'i.

Compensation: $42.00/hour (includes documentation time) Schedule: Flexible | Full-time, Part-time, and Hourly (TSN) Opportunities Available

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
  • Deliver therapeutic services to children, adults, and families
  • Facilitate individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Workload Options

  • Full-Time: 40 participants on a caseload (5-6 sessions/day)
  • Part-Time: 20 participants on a caseload
  • TSN (Hourly): Flexible caseloads under 19 participants; group therapy hours available
  • Remote Options Available

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
  • Other (Specify): Masters' Degree in health or human service field; Hawaii State Licensure in good standing and current.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over two years, up to and including four years.
  • Knowledge of child/adolescent/adult and family dynamics
  • Ability to work with people of multi-cultural and different levels of educational and socioeconomic status

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.

  • Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.

  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.

  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.

  • Requires contacts both inside and outside the organization in order to furnish or obtain information and/or provide participant services. Normal courtesy, tact and discretion required.
