Office / Intake
Union Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated office professional that is proficient in medical records, assist with scheduling of clinical staff, Intake process through PAs, faxing and obtaining medical documents and other office related functions to join our home health agency.
To be successful office professional, you will possess strong organization skills, detail oriented and knowledgeable of the role. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for great customer service.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Welcoming and greeting visitors to the agency
- Assist employees with correcting all payroll issues
- Assist the Clinical and professional office staff with tasks
- Answering office phone and email inquiries
- Monthly patient insurance verifications
- Maintaining current Prior Authorizations, applying for Prior Authorizations when needed, in conjunction with maintaining schedules based on the PA expiration dates and units allotted
- Maintaining patient schedules when recerts, sup visits are due
- Performing clerical work, such as filing, copying, scanning of patient records, pulling reports and faxing and other office related tasks requested
- Preparing and maintaining patient charts / Medical records using the EMR software
- Proficient and remain compliant with all field staff schedules in conjunction to ensure the schedule is compliant and accurate with scheduling specific visits within the timeframe governed by the state to meet compliance and regulations.
- Complying with the regulations and policies of the agency
- Perform general clerical duties in support of patient services and office needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year of office experience with a strong scheduling and Prior Authorizations background in the home health setting.
- COVID vaccinated is required.
- Strong affinity for customer service.
- Able to work 8:00 to 5 timeframe - Start as a part-time / 20 hrs per week schedule.
- Working knowledge of office management, EMR systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
