The Mental Health Professional (family based) is the lead member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for treatment plan development. The Mental Health Professional serves as team leader providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. Therapists work with the child and family to improve overall family attachments and cohesion, self-regulation, and anchor a support system. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, including day, evening, and/or weekend hours.
Focusing on psychoeducation, affordable housing, employment, and psychiatric services MHP’s assist individuals in remaining out of inpatient care setting by assisting in maintaining stability within their communities

The Position: The Mental Health Professional is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The Mental Health Professional serves as co-team leader and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy, while serving as a lead therapist with the caseload of 8 children and their families in the home and/or community. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, that could include day, evening, and/or weekend hours.
Pay rate: 24/hour
- 3 years paid training in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy Model through the Philadelphia Child and Guidance Center (eligibility for state certification upon successful completion of training)
Bonus: SBH/PAH Employee sign on- $1000.00 to be paid in 3 increments
Schedule: we are hiring for multiple shifts/schedules.
Position Requirements:
Education: Master’s Level Therapist (Mental Health Professional) Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation or any Human Services related field
- Additional requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass required background clearances and screenings (FBI, Childline, Criminal, driving record)
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensures stakeholder satisfaction with the company by maintaining proactive, responsive communication.
- Maintains regular, proactive communication with key stakeholder groups, and builds new relationships as needed to further the company’s mission and vision.
- Develop meaningful relationships and collaborative with external resources for community linkage and aftercare planning.
- Directs Communication with Management and Executives.
- Establishes and maintains frequent and regular communication with Program Director, Program Coordinator and Operations Director as needed.
- Report treatment difficulties to supervisor.
- Identifies and executes on growth opportunities.
- Ability to acknowledge and establish areas of personal and professional growth in annual evaluations.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with client, child, parent/guardian, treatment team members, and other personnel involved in treatment.
- Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with children, families, and staff from a variety of cultures and social backgrounds.
- Must have knowledge of various therapy techniques and counseling strategies applicable to serving complex family systems.
- Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children/adolescents and adults with persistent mental health challenges.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must display professional attitude.
- Must display empathy, active listening skills, critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
