Mental Health Therapist/Social Worker

New Life Counseling in Warwick, RI is hiring a Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Mental Health Counselor. New Life Counseling is a group practice open seven days a week and seeing all ages for individual, family, and couples counseling. We are in need of clinicians who are able to provide counseling to couples. This is a requirement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads psychotherapy sessions.
• Develops strong working relationships with patients.
• Helps patients set and reach their therapeutic goals.
• Advises patients on healthy coping mechanisms.
• Keeps detailed psychotherapy and progress notes.
• Uses electronic medical record.
• Refers patients to psychiatrists when necessary.
• Follows all guidelines, regulations, standards, and policies.

Hours/Benefits:

• Must be able to work at least 10 hours during the weekend and/or evenings.
• Minimum total hours is 10 for independently licensed clinicians and 15 for clinicians requiring supervision.
• Must be available for mix of in office and telehealth.
• Hours and schedule are negotiable and new hire can set the number of clients a week. The office is open seven days a week.
• This position is a fee for service position. There are no benefits. Benefits will be considered for full time, fully licensed clinicians after one year of service.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A master’s degree in mental health counseling or social work is required.
• Required: LMHC, LISCW, MHCA, or LCSW in the state of RI.
• Weekly supervision will be provided for clinicians under supervision (LMHCA and LCSW).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
