POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hispanic Community Engagement Specialist engages with the community to provide targeted services and resources to individuals and groups. Under the direction of the Director of Adult Outpatient Counseling, the Specialist will implement tasks and projects, along with resource and service coordination, with the goal of providing: 1) mental health support as resources and services for children, youth and adults, both for prevention and intervention; and 2) referrals to other services, as needs are identified, all to ensure a wholistic system of support to individuals and families.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in a human service discipline or equivalent experience
- At least three years professional experience in mental health/ human services
- Bilingual-fluency in Spanish required
- Clinical expertise in crisis intervention with individuals undergoing episodes of acute psychiatric distress
- Proficient in use the use of all MS Office applications, Office 365 and familiarity with other web-based solutions
- Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work, to accommodate the needs of clients
Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week)
