Direct support Professional / Behavior Technician
Hills & Dales is a non-profit organization dedicated to building meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities. The Behavioral Direct Support Professional is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral, personal, and daily living support to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. The role blends direct support duties with behavior technician functions by implementing ABA-based strategies and supporting individuals in home, center, and community settings.
Average Pay: $23.04 - $25.08 per hour (blended between regular and premium pay rates).
Base wage range: $19.75-$21.50/hour
Responsibilities
Encourage client choice-making and self-advocacy in all aspects of daily life.
Monitor and record behaviors and progress toward goals in alignment with ABA practices.
Participate in ABA data collection and analysis to support clinical decisions.
Monitor for and report any signs of abuse, injury, or health concerns.
Use electronic systems to maintain records and streamline information sharing.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold or obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 3 months of employment.
Minimum 3 months experience working with children or adults with Autism or developmental disabilities.
Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.
Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance required.
Must maintain reliable transportation and ability to drive agency vehicles
Pay is based on experience, education, and any previous loyalty to H&D.
Offer contingent upon the succressful completetion of a criminal background check, dependernt adult and child abuse background check, and drug screen.

- Earn premium pay pay for weekend hours (1.5 times your base wage!)

- Mon, Tue 6AM-7PM, Sun 7AM-7PM
- Mon, Tue, Sun 8AM-8PM
- Wed, Fri 6AM-7PM, sat 7AM-7PM
- Wed 6AM-7PM, Thur, Fri 8AM-8PM
- Thur, Fri, Sat 8AM-8PM
- Current NIGHT TIME Open Schedules:
- Mon, Tue, Wed, Sun 7PM-8AM
- Thur, Fri, Sat 7PM-7AM
Responsibilities
- Individual Support & Daily Living Assist clients in developing independence through teaching daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, self-care, meal preparation, cleaning).
Encourage client choice-making and self-advocacy in all aspects of daily life.
- Behavior Support Implement individualized behavior support plans developed by a BCBA.
Monitor and record behaviors and progress toward goals in alignment with ABA practices.
- ABA Program Implementation Deliver evidence-based interventions following the BCBA-directed care plan.
Participate in ABA data collection and analysis to support clinical decisions.
- Health & Safety Administer medications if certified and ensure proper health routines are followed.
Monitor for and report any signs of abuse, injury, or health concerns.
- Documentation & Communication Complete all required documentation for both direct care and ABA services in a timely manner.
Use electronic systems to maintain records and streamline information sharing.
- Team Collaboration & Professionalism Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in all interactions.
