Job Description:
A behavioral health team in Bozeman is seeking a Licensed Therapist to provide care in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting. This role is responsible for therapy, discharge planning, care coordination, and crisis intervention to support patient stabilization and transition back into the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults in acute psychiatric crisis
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and care coordination
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Lead discharge planning and connect patients to needed community resources
- Maintain clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Deliver psychoeducation and collaborate with internal and external providers
- Track treatment response and assist in managing side effects or complications
- Educate patients and families on mental health resources and recovery planning
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- Licensed in Montana as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (or licensure-eligible)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- 1+ year healthcare experience preferred
- Relevant certifications preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally challenging environment
- Proficient in interdisciplinary collaboration and electronic health records
- Knowledge of crisis management, HIPAA, and care coordination best practices
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and bending
- Must be available for weekend, evening, and on-call duties as needed
- Exposure to infectious disease and emotionally challenging scenarios is expected
