Support Military Kids This Summer

Blue Rose Consulting Group is hiring a Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) to support summer programming for military-connected children at Minot AFB, ND. This is a mission-driven opportunity to provide short-term, non-medical behavioral health support to youth during the summer camp season.

Whether you’re looking for meaningful seasonal work or seeking a pathway into full-time MFLC roles, this summer assignment offers the chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver in-person, solution-focused counseling to children and youth in a camp or youth center setting

  • Support emotional resilience, peer relationships, and coping skills for military dependents

  • Collaborate with parents, youth center staff, and installation leadership to address behavioral and emotional concerns

  • Provide behavioral health support aligned with seasonal youth programming and special events

  • Respond to on-demand needs that arise during summer activities and group sessions

  • Maintain clear, confidential documentation according to program requirements

Schedule & Role Details

  • Assignment duration: May 23 – August 29, 2025

  • Based at Minot Air Force Base’s youth center and summer programs

  • Schedule follows daytime and structured programming hours

  • Role limited to summer session; no long-term commitment required

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., MSW, MA, MS in Counseling)

  • Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state:

    • LCSW / LICSW

    • LPC

    • LMFT

    • LCPC

    • LMHC

  • Not eligible: LMSW, LADC, or associate/supervised license holders

  • Previous experience with children, youth, or military-connected populations strongly preferred

  • Ability to work independently and create safety and intervention plans as needed

  • U.S. citizenship and fluency in English

  • Must pass federal and installation-specific background checks
