Summary:
The Service Coordinator will coordinate part manufacture with in-house and subcontracted sources, develop professional repair scopes of supply with inspection details and pictures that can be presented to the customer in the form of a quote, communicate effectively and consistently with internal and external clients, coordinate repair projects, provide quotes and estimates for pump repairs.
Responsibilities of the Service Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for beginning the repair process on all incoming work by logging in repairs to our work process system.
- Obtain parts lists, drawings and parts pricing for equipment in need of service along with other information gathering from vendors.
- Daily review of open projects log to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Purchase parts, materials and outside services for equipment repairs.
- Organize and control related logistics for all purchase parts and material receipts.
- Establish new part numbers per our established procedures and purchase repair parts. Coordinate material flow (shipping methods and timing) from vendors.
- Communicate effectively with our vendors, co-workers and customers.
- Actively participate in weekly manufacturing meetings.
- Expedite parts and material delivery when necessary; communicate lead times to Service Center Supervisor.
- Assist in managing materials and inventory of parts.
- Return to vendor if possible and appropriate
- Establish part numbers if one does not exist
- Label parts and establish bin location
- Review and restock inventory bins
- Must work in accordance with the principals and procedures outlined in the QPI manual.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications of the Service Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Experience and aptitude in MS Office programs required, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of computerized business systems desirable. Must be willing to attain this knowledge through continuing education and training.
- Must be able to follow written/verbal directions from Pump Repair Facility Supervisor or the respective designee where
- applicable.
- Proactive, confident, self-directed, focused on customer service and project completion.
- Ability to stay organized, work productively and efficiently is required.
- Must have pleasant and courteous manner and be able to relate well to customers, vendors, Pro-Seal employees and all
- groups using the building.
- Must display knowledge and initiative in maintaining safe and clean conditions in and around the office and shop area.
- Must be able to maintain composure in emergency situations.
- Pleasant and courteous manner and relate well to customers, vendors, and other employees.
- Must have a desire to gain a basic understanding of the theory and construction of pumps and other rotating equipment.

Training/Certifications: Training will be provided by a combination of OTJ and supplier-led trainings.
Shift Time/Overtime: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Education: A bachelor degree preferred or high school/GED with applicable experience.
