Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with psychiatric experience to join our growing team. This role will involve psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing psychotropic medication management.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document in compliance with clinical and legal standards.
- Collaborate closely with supervising psychiatrist for case discussions, quality assurance, and ongoing clinical guidance.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR system.
- Participate in team meetings and clinical case reviews.
- Maintain appropriate licensure and continuing education.
Provide compassionate, patient first care in alignment with Mind Health Group’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted license as a PMHNP or PA-C in Michigan or Florida.
- Must be licensed in Michigan.
- Comfortable with virtual care platforms and documentation systems.
- 1–2+ years of psychiatric experience in outpatient, inpatient, or telehealth settings.
- Comfortable working independently with access to collaborative support.
- DEA license in good standing (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of integrity, empathy, and commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
2–5 years of psychiatric experience, especially in outpatient psychiatry.
- Experience with crisis intervention or higher-acuity patient populations.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care best practices.
- Board certified by ANCC (for NPs) or NCCPA (for PAs).
- Proficient in DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and treatment of common psychiatric conditions.
