- Attends routine Cancer Center meetings and serves as a clinical resource to the healthcare team.
- Performs inherited disease risk assessments and cancer risk assessments through review of family and medical histories.
- Provides individualized genetic counseling and testing to patients/families identified at increased risk for inherited cancers.
- Facilitates patient awareness and access to research and clinical studies.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with all members of the healthcare team.
- Coordinates counseling sessions to meet the needs of patients, families and members of the healthcare team.
- Other duties as assigned
- Education: Master's degree in genetic counseling.
- Years of Experience: Experience in genetic counseling with experience in inherited disease genetics or cancer genetic counseling or have recently completed an inherited disease or cancer genetics clinical rotation.
- Certification: Board eligible for certification by the ABGC.
