8-hour shifts 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday
Full-Time Hours
Up to 1-year contract with potential for extension
Outpatient Psychiatry experience required
3+ years of experience preferred
Previous Military or Government healthcare experience preferred
Prior Locum Tenens experience preferred
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry required
Must hold active NC state medical license
DEA license required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
BLS certification required

Provide psychiatric evaluations, crisis intervention, ongoing psychotherapy, and medication management.
See an average of 10 patients per day in an outpatient setting (visit load may vary depending on session lengths).
Collaborate with other medical professionals and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Maintain detailed and timely electronic medical records.
Comply with all clinical and administrative procedures as required by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy with completed internship and psychiatric residency in a U.S. ACGME-accredited program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (must become Board Certified within 2 years of hire).
Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in North Carolina.
Current DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (must provide front and back of the card).
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Must meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements independently (non-reimbursable by the government).
