Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team on a part-time basis, focusing on group therapy sessions through telehealth. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing mental health support in a flexible and innovative environment. The LMHC will facilitate group therapy sessions for individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including grief, addiction, and outpatient care. Interest in working with adolescents a plus. We can schedule groups around your availability.

You can come into the office in Natick, but it’s not required

Duties

• Conduct virtual group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in psychotherapy and addiction counseling to guide discussions and interventions.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Document session notes accurately, adhering to coding standards for mental health services.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to provide comprehensive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Skills

• Strong understanding of mental health counseling principles, particularly in outpatient settings.
• Experience in grief counseling and addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hospital settings and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team.
• Proficient in coding for mental health services and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients during telehealth sessions.
• Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all group members.
