About Job
We’re seeking a therapist eager to grow within a team that values both collaboration and independence, where your contributions directly shape the practice and your career. At Travelers Rest Counseling, we take an innovative approach by prioritizing our counselors' well-being and professional growth, knowing that when our therapists thrive, they are better equipped to do meaningful work for their clients—and, by extension, the community. You’ll build on the foundation of a dynamic practice while maintaining the flexibility to define your path. We prioritize professional growth, client empowerment, and a community where therapists support each other in meaningful work. Whether you're starting out or experienced, this role offers the chance to grow your practice within a client-centered team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy tailored to your strengths and interests, offering individual, couples, family, or group therapy with a focus on client empowerment and personal growth.
- Help build our practice by cultivating strong client relationships, with support from the team and marketing efforts to grow your caseload.
- Collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals who value connection, growth, and continuous learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision, to ensure continuous growth and skill-building.
- Contribute to the positive, inclusive culture of our practice, while actively participating in the greater TRCA community.
What We’re Seeking:
- A therapist who is interested in working with children, helping them navigate their unique challenges with compassion and support. While this is not a requirement, we are particularly eager to find someone who is passionate about working with kids.
- A self-driven therapist who will take ownership of growing their caseload within our practice. While we provide support—such as promoting you on our website, offering referrals, and featuring you on social media—we need someone who will actively advocate for themselves and contribute to the overall success of our team.
- A professional who values client empowerment, personal responsibility, and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
- Someone who is excited about growing a fulfilling, long-term career within our team, with plenty of opportunities for professional development and the ability to shape their role within our practice.
Required Qualifications:
- LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) or equivalent licensure (we are open to those new to the field) in South Carolina.
- A genuine interest in working collaboratively to foster client empowerment and growth.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships within a team environment.
- Motivation to grow your practice within the framework of Travelers Rest Counseling.
- Comfortable with client outreach and marketing, with support from the team.
