About Job

The Animal Care Coordinator (ACC) position is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the intake, care, and placement of animals at one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the country.

Responsible for providing excellent care for shelter animals and maintaining the progress of their journey into and out of the shelter, the ACC plays a vital role in cultivating the human-animal bond. From an animal’s initial intake, behavioral and medical assessments, and ongoing supportive care, the ACC will be there for them each step of the way. The ACC extends professional and compassionate service to the community – including surrender evaluations, adoption counseling, and other public services. In conjunction with the Customer Care team, the ACC works with potential adopters to identify suitable matches with animals and helps facilitate reunification between lost pets and their families.
