Tech Lead - Credit MFT

A prestigious global hedge fund is seeking a Tech Lead to drive the design, build, and optimization of its next-generation systematic credit trading platform. This role sits at the intersection of technology and trading, focused on enabling mid-frequency credit strategies across global markets. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will lead a high-impact team in delivering scalable infrastructure and execution systems, collaborating closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture, development, and deployment of a systematic credit MFT platform, with focus on performance, scale, and reliability.
• Act as the technical point of contact across trading, quant research, and infrastructure teams.
• Provide hands-on leadership, contributing code and overseeing technical decisions on platform components including data ingestion, signal processing, execution, and monitoring.
• Manage and grow a high-performing team, currently four engineers, with budget to hire additional headcount.
• Oversee system integration across fixed income, CDS, indices, ETFs, and other credit instruments, while ensuring seamless alignment with trading objectives.
• Build tools and infrastructure to support real-time signal generation, strategy testing, and performance attribution.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong professional background in C++ and Python, with deep experience building robust trading systems for fixed income or credit markets.
• Experience designing and deploying MFT (mid-frequency trading) infrastructure within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or tier-1 investment bank.
• Demonstrated success building from scratch: full system lifecycle ownership including architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Familiarity with credit product microstructure, bond pricing, and execution algorithms.
• Proven ability to collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and researchers in fast-paced, real-time environments.
• Solid academic background in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, etc.).
