About Job

This school Psychologist position is a Per DIem position with MDHHS. The position requires the following skills:

a. Must possess a Masters Degree from an approved school psychology certification program

b. Must prosses a Preliminary School Psychologist Caertificate or School Psychologist Certificate from the MIchigan Department of Education.

c. Excellent oral and written communication skills ( use of computer and applicable software)

d. Ability to lift and carry testing equipment.

e. Ability to work well with others as a team and communicate successfully with students, parents, staff, and community memebers.

f. Must posses a Valid Michigan Drivers License and have reliable transportation.

g. Is flexible, prompt, and able to prioritize a work schedule

h. Present self appearances and professional manner

Responsibilities are as follows:

1.Evaluate individual students abilities and achievement through various psychological instruments to determine recommendations for Special EDucation Eligibility

2. Participate ad a member of the IEPC(Individual Education Plan) team member of the MET ( Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team) for initial, change of eligibility status and three-year re-evaluations.

3. Write reports on the results of the evaluations and propse eligilibility for Special Education recommendations

4. Complete timely and accurate written reports and related records

5. Prepare and maintain accurate records and sustainable data to job responsibility and student testing information.

6. Communicate evaluation results to parents, referral resources, and collegues within the school setting prior to the IEP team meeting.

7. Have the knowledge and ability to assist MDHHS in developing, implementing, and maintaining a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) that include the knowledge of assessment sytems, manageing data and collaboration.

8. Exhibit effective, professional customer focused interpersonal skills with school districts, parents, and agencies

Assume responsibility for staying up to date with current developments in school Psychology and Special Education and maintain readiness to adapt to change

Master Degree in School Psychology Required

The hours for this position are Monday Through Friday NO Weekends. This position is as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
