Primary Therapist (AMFT or LMFT) – Full-Time or Part-Time (Hybrid Available)

Mindset Recovery

Mindset Recovery, a dual diagnosis treatment center, is seeking a Primary Therapist (AMFT or LMFT) to join our dedicated clinical team. We serve adult individuals and couples (ages 18–65) facing substance use and mental health challenges. This position is available as full-time or part-time, with a hybrid schedule option (remote and in-office).

Responsibilities:

Provide therapy for clients struggling with substance use in an Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Maintain a caseload of 15–20 clients (with room to grow)

Conduct individual, group, and couples therapy sessions

Complete timely and accurate documentation (notes due within 24–48 hours)

Coordinate care with clinical team and support staff

Participate in case conferences and treatment planning

Completed documentation including treatment plans, BPS, and individual therapy notes in compliance with Joint Commission and DHCS standards

Qualifications:

Valid AMFT or LMFT registration/license in the state of California

Prior experience in substance use disorder (SUD) and/or dual diagnosis mental health treatment required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations

Kipu proficiency a plus
