Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Peer Support Specialist (APSS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing support and care to clients in our addiction treatment program. , ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position involves working closely with clients in outpatient addiction treatment and recovery house setting.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, provide recovery support to the clients
• Provide direct support to with varying needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a clean and comfortable living space for clients.
• Facilitate and engage with clients in group counseling sessions and individual sessions.
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, medical professionals to help develop personalized care plans.
• Document client progress in EMR and communicate any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Drivers License
• Community Support Associate Training (10 Hour Training Course) OR Adult Peer Support Specialist (30 Hour Training Course)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact in their lives.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
