About Job
- Orient new clients to PHP level of care, schedule intakes, check insurance eligibility at the time of referral and upload card into EMR
- Strive for swift access to intake appointments for clients looking for treatment and communicate with Director of Central Intake any challenges related to scheduling intake appointments
- Stay informed of all the insurance companies credentialing criteria by communicating with the Credential coordinator
- Enter new patient information into the computer system and obtain any relevant discharge paperwork, uploading it into EMR for the clinical team
- Ability to update the Director of Central Intake on the current referral trends and of any significant changes that may present
- Responsible for tracking referral source activity and no-show rates for intakes and watching for early terminations after case assignment
- Back fill cancelled intake appointments to ensure good access for clients
- Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Ability to communicative effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency and related sources
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft suite
