Tech Lead - Fixed Income MFT

A world-renowned proprietary trading firm is seeking a Tech Lead Engineer to drive the technical direction of its systematic fixed income trading team. This role focuses on building and deploying high-performance infrastructure to support mid-frequency trading (MFT) strategies across a broad range of fixed income instruments, including rates, credit, and derivatives.

You’ll lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge market access systems, execution platforms, and pricing infrastructure working closely with quantitative researchers and traders to bring alpha-generating ideas into production.

Responsibilities:

• Own the full architecture and implementation of mid-frequency fixed income trading systems, from market data ingestion to execution and post-trade.
• Work with quants to bring systematic alpha strategies into production and build out real-time automated hedging and execution logic.
• Lead engineering efforts for market simulation frameworks, signal integration, and smart order routing.
• Build scalable pricing, risk, and execution components tailored to the nuances of fixed income market microstructure.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, driving best practices in low-latency and distributed systems development.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on development skills in C++ and/or Python, with a track record of building low-latency, high-reliability trading systems.
• Experience working on pricing algorithms and execution platforms for fixed income or related products.
• Expertise in low-latency architecture, networking, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems that operate reliably in real-time trading environments.
• Prior experience aligned with trading desks in liquid fixed income markets, such as treasuries, swaps, credit, or ETFs.
• Deep understanding of the fixed income trading workflow, with the ability to interface directly with quants and traders.
