Turf Care Manager

This position is responsible for execution of turf care services, training and accountability of technicians, and assisting salespeople and clients surrounding turf issues and concerns. Areas of responsibility include:

- Ensuring services are performed in accordance with Greenwise quality standards

- Ensuring services are rendered at appropriate times for optimal results

- Assisting technicians with troubleshooting fleet and equipment issues

- Technician hiring, continued supervision and evaluation

- Training & development of technicians

- Site checks / quality audits

- Reinforcement of Greenwise safety practices and procedures

- Continued production, which may change over time based on needs – Range of 30-50% between March and October

-Hours between March and November will exceed 40 hours a week and may include Saturdays as needed

The primary tasks and responsibilities of this role will include:

o Attend sales meetings monthly to deliver and receive feedback in an effort to align sales and operations teams

o Ensure technicians are equipped with and care for the proper tools

o Evaluate efficacy of existing products through regular trials and testing

o Research and evaluate new products for potential introduction into program

o Research, understand and anticipate both common and uncommon turfgrass and weed issues

o Develop prescriptive strategies for sales team to suggest and for technicians to perform to mitigate turf issues

o Work with sales team members to diagnose and create solutions for client-specific turf issues

o Schedule and ensure all active services are performed

o Work with Contract Service Coordinator to establish defined plans for interruptions due to weather or shortened weeks due to holidays

o Work with Contract Service Coordinator to schedule services based upon pre-determined variables (e.g. ground temperatures, degree days)

o Determine and communicate timing of services throughout the season (i.e. when services will begin and end with sufficient notice, two weeks minimum)

o Based on current conditions and issues, communicate internally regarding best practices and potential issues to be aware of (e.g. watering regimen, mowing frequency, pest issues)

o Monitor condition of trucks, trailers and small equipment to the best of your ability

o Communicate repair needs to Mechanic

o Assist and troubleshoot with technicians when fleet and equipment issues arise

o Ensure shop premises are organized and maintained in accordance with Greenwise standards

o Adherence to Purchase Order processes for equipment & tools (in coordination with Finance & Accounting)

o Monitor of inventory levels on a monthly basis and communicate to Contract Service Coordinator for ordering

o Risk management to minimize threat of damage, spoilage or theft

o Work with Director of Operations and Contract Service Coordinator for staffing future needs (in coordination with Sales and Finance)

o Evaluate new technicians for hire (in coordination with Human Resources)

o Ensure continued quality checks are conducted and the highest standards are followed

o Regular on-site check-ins to ensure Greenwise standards are being adhered to

o Includes participation in our snow removal services between November and March

This is a full-time, hourly role, year-round. Minimum 40 hours per week.

Pay Range $27-$35 per hours, eligible for overtime

· 5 years or more in the turf care industry

· Excellent time management skills

· Work independently with the ability to manage and inspire others

· Proficient in Excel and Outlook

· Strong work ethic and sense of accountability

· Experience with Aspire or other landscape software

· Experience with WorkWave or other routing software

· Troubleshoot and repair small equipment and turf care equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
