7 HRS PER DAYS

ANTICIPATED START DATE: AUGUST 14, 2025


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess a valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate in School Counseling.
  • Master's degree with a major in guidance and counseling or appropriate related field preferred.
  • Experience working with high school & elementary students preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling/assessments/state standards preferred.
  • Experience working with at-risk students preferred.
  • Experience and a working knowledge of scheduling/assessments/state standards, referrals to appropriate school and community agencies/resources preferred.
  • Experience and working knowledge of college and career prep programs, apprenticeship, CTE, and workforce systems preferred.
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural, linguistic, social and economic backgrounds.
  • Experience in implementing PBIS (positive behavior intervention and supports), SEL (social emotional learning) programs, and the principles and components of Trauma-Informed Schools.
  • Demonstrate understanding of educational systems, legal issues, policies, research and trends in education.
  • Ability to write and implement 504 and behavior plans.
  • Experience in providing short-term counseling in small-group and individual settings.
  • Ability to use student data to identify gaps in achievement, attendance, opportunity and discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively for collaboration and consultation between staff, students and parents.
  • Familiar with the ASCA model.
  • Experience with RTI implementation and strategies.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Location will be based on student enrollment.

RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS
Yearly Salary Range: $58,626 - $115, 488 (Depending on Experience & Education)
