TITLE: Stipend Opportunity Behavioral Health Services
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of School Counseling
STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The School Counseling Department seeks to develop a School Counseling Training and Resource Handbook to be shared with current and new school counseling staff district-wide.
This opportunity will occur primarily from May 1 2025, to July 31, 2025 as needed, between 20-30 hours. This position is required as part of the Project PROVIDE grant that BPS has received.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The School Counselor will need to be familiar with the specific content of the requested manual/handbook. They will be responsible for:
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The School Counselor will need to be familiar with the specific content of the requested manual/handbook. They will be responsible for:
- Creation of a comprehensive school counseling handbook
- Inclusion of materials/resources pertaining to ASCA domains of Academic, Career and Social Emotional Development.
- Academic: Course selection/scheduling process, MassCore graduation requirements, Academic monitoring tools, etc.
- College/Career planning resources: college planning timelines by grade, FAFSA/financial aid guidelines, MyCAP implementation plans by grade level, etc.
- Social Emotional Development- tier 1 SEL support strategies, referral protocols, MTSS guidelines, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working as a school counselor in Boston Public Schools;
- Licensed school counselor
