Job Description

The Center for Child Well-Being within the Department of Psychiatry in School of Medicine seeks 3 Care Coordinators to serve on Pediatric and Perinatal Psychiatry Access Programs. These programs increase capacity for primary care and social service providers in Missouri to respond to mental & behavioral health conditions.

The ideal candidate is interested in an innovative career that will increase the well-being of families and children by expanding access to mental health care and resources across Missouri through hands-on care coordination, professional network building, and effective evidence-based communication.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Respond to incoming calls to the Psychiatry Access line during normal business hours; screen and triage requests and complete intake forms.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for Psychiatry Access Programs, screening all requests to assess need and scheduling with the appropriate providers.
  • Complete regular follow-up outreach to patients and families to connect to referral options. Evaluate potential good fit referral options for each patient in their home areas across Missouri.
  • Independently evaluate patient needs to connect them with appropriate available mental health and substance use resources.
  • Develop program resources and materials, create individualized behavioral health resource lists for providers with patients, curate database of available statewide resources.
  • Performs resource and referral duties in a HIPAA compliant manner, including correspondence with providers and patients regarding clinical and referral updates.
  • Maintains HIPAA compliant case file documentation both in electronic and paper format in accordance with programmatic standards.
  • Ensures all clinical documentation of follow-up and outcomes is in accordance with organizational standards. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting.
  • Ensure highest level of engagement, service and satisfaction for providers and patients.
  • Assists Program Leads & Directors with other tasks as assigned.

Shift

Monday – Friday

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Preferred educational experience related to behavioral health, social work, psychology, psychiatry, or related fields.

Credentials: Current LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is required.

Years of Experience: 5 years of clinical work experience

Niche Professional Interests: A highly desirable candidate will have a background or knowledge base in the following areas: pediatric and/or perinatal mental health; experience with primary care and behavioral health integration or consultation.

Additional Training: Knowledge of RedCAP or database management is preferred but not required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually

Grade: GGS - 010
