TITLE: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Purpose Statement
The position of School Psychologist is to act as a consultative resource specialist in the areas of learning, behavior, and psychological development for all staff, provide leadership in the design, implementation, and monitoring of interventions to help students succeed in school, and conduct assessments of students to determine appropriate services.

Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
Essential functions
School Psychologist priorities are (with the first items given highest priority descending in order to lesser priority:
· Emergency / crisis intervention
· Mandates (special education students, child abuse and neglect)
· Teaming
· Consultation
· Referral to outside agencies
· Program development
· Liaison work
· Staff in-service
· Classroom intervention
· Group work with parents or students
· Individual counseling with parents or students
Job responsibilities
- Administer diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments as warranted by case study evaluations to assess students in the areas of intelligence, academic achievement, and social/emotional concerns.
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students.
- Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, RTI, and problem-solving meetings.
- Act as a resource to staff when there are concerns with student learning or behavior.
- Assist with and facilitate required assessments for students.
- Provide intervention strategies for teachers or counselors when dealing with students with learning problems, behavioral and social/emotional issues.
- Assist with the coordination of referrals to outside agencies.
- Provide crisis, individual and group interventions as appropriate.
Job Requirements: (Minimum Qualifications)
- Professional Educator License with the appropriate school psychologist endorsement
- Prior skills and experience as requested by the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Evaluation
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the teachers’ contract.
Terms of Employment
Salary and work year as established by the Board of Education.
Salary
Salary is based on our 2025/26 certified salary schedule. Placement is based on education and years of experience as a certified School Psychologist.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
