SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is seeking a part-time two-day-per-week in-person and 1 day per week remote (to attend virtual meetings and complete reports as needed) school psychologist for the upcoming school year. Work alongside a wonderful, experienced school psychologist within the county! Must possess a Master's Degree in School Psychology!

Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is seeking a part-time (3 days per week) licensed school psychologist. We are looking for caring, energetic, positive, friendly, enthusiastic applicant who loves working with kids and is passionate about the field of school psychology. Whether you are a seasoned professional or at the beginning of your career, consider utilizing your talents as a school psychologist to enable children to engage in valued learning and school-related activities.

Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is a therapist owned company, providing services to students within the public school system setting in the Southside Region of VA. We provide services to twelve school districts. The professionals employed by Pediatric Therapies, Inc. are part of the educational team within a school district. The members of our team have school-based experience and, working alongside special educators and administrators, use their specific expertise to address student needs. We maintain long-term, strong working relationships with the counties we serve through regular and open communication. Pediatric Therapies, Inc. is dedicated to providing high-quality, educationally relevant services to support student independence and success within the school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a master's degree from an approved program in school psychology, consisting of 60 graduate semester hours, plus a one-year internship as prescribed by the college awarding the degree. Good knowledge of psychological theory and practice as applied to the behavior and development of children and young adults; ability to apply knowledge to the needs and requirements of a public school system; ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of students, teachers, and parents; ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the school and the community; analytic ability and adaptability to changing needs; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to write comprehensive reports; and ability to interpret findings to parents.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Provides the full range of psychological services to schools; systematically collects, analyzes, synthesizes, and interprets information necessary to guide services such as consultation, counseling, behavioral assessment and intervention planning, and psychological evaluation in the educational setting.

Employment Terms:

2025-2026 School Year (with high probability to renew the following year).

If desired, employment is available over the summer.

This contract has great probability to renew continuously.
