School-Based Child and Youth Counselor (MFLC) Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota Eligibility: U.S.
Citizens Only Employment Type: Onsite, full-time Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to serve as a School-Based Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) in Grand Forks, ND.
This role supports the mental and emotional well-being of children from military families in a school setting.
You will work directly with students, parents, educators, and installation leadership to deliver short-term, non-medical counseling and promote behavioral wellness across the school community.
What You'll Do
• Provide in-person, solution-focused counseling to children of active-duty service members
• Conduct individual, group, and classroom-based behavioral health support
• Consult with parents, teachers, and school staff on behavioral issues and student well-being
• Facilitate training and wellness presentations on stress, transitions, grief, and resilience
• Support youth programs, summer camps, and other on-demand assignments as needed
• Collaborate with school officials and military leadership to ensure service delivery aligns with program goals and community needs
• Maintain compliance with DoD standards and school policies while upholding strict confidentiality Schedule & Site Details
• Onsite at a K-12 school near Grand Forks Air Force Base
• Schedule aligned with the school day and academic calendar
• May include support for youth programs or special events as needed Requirements
• Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology)
• Active, unrestricted clinical license in any U.S.
state:
• LCSW / LICSW
• LPC
• LMFT
• LCPC
• LMHC
• Not eligible: LMSW, LADC, associate-level, or supervised licenses
• Prior experience in school-based or youth-focused behavioral health settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with children, adolescents, and adults
• Understanding of military culture and family dynamics
• U.S.
citizenship and fluency in English
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and any installation-specific suitability checks Desired Qualifications
