The School of Education at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track position at the associate or full professor level to lead the new online program in Applied Behavior Analysis ( ABA ) beginning August 11, 2025.
This position includes serving as the Program Chair for the new Program in Applied Behavior Analysis. The preferred candidate will have a background in school psychology and must hold the Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential. Candidates must demonstrate expertise related to the practice of school psychology and expertise in translational research methodologies in behavior analysis. The successful candidate will also provide supervision of capstone projects for school psychology doctoral students. Individuals interested in leading a new master’s ABA program and in developing a new undergraduate major in ABA that is culturally responsive, antiracist, and emphasizes social justice practices across a variety of settings are encouraged to apply. Tenure-track faculty are expected to conduct research, teach courses, advise students and participate in university, college, and community service as appropriate. Qualifications Minimum/Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in School Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field, preferably from an accredited program.
- Hold the Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential.
- Prior experience teaching ABA courses.
- Research experience in the candidate’s given field of expertise.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- A doctoral level school psychologist with the BCBA -D credential.
- Prior supervision of doctoral dissertations or capstone projects.
- Prior experience teaching graduate level ABA courses.
- Prior experience serving as a program director/chair of an ABA program.

- Open Date 03/27/2025 Close Date Salary Range $101,000 - $120,000 (Associate Professor) $112,000 - $160,000 (Full Professor) Additional Salary Information This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs. Salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
