The University of Maryland School of Social Work is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the development and implementation of the new Doctor of Social Work program. This position works closely with the Doctoral Program Director and will play an essential role in supporting program activities, curricula, and students. The individual will be expected to act independently, in addition to working on teams to support faculty and staff in supporting the DSW program, research goals, and infrastructure. The Program Coordinator will assist with academic program management, student and faculty support, compliance, communication, and administrative duties.

Essential Functions
Preferred Education: Bachelor Social Work (BSW).
Experience: One (1) year administrative or program coordination experience.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience working in higher education or supporting an educational program.
Other: Related experience to program may be substituted for education.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate course schedules, seminars, and program activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective students; manage and maintain student records and track academic progress.
- Support DSW program development and implementation; manage program resources and activities.
- Help develop and manage program documentation, records, databases, and files.
- Provide administrative support to the DSW Director, Associate Director, and faculty.
- In coordination with the DSW admissions committee, manage the DSW program application and review process, including collecting and tracking application materials; communicate with applicants regarding their application status; provide guidance on program requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate academic advising appointments, as well as communication between faculty, students, and administrators.
- Assist with registration and course scheduling, room assignments, etc.; organize and coordinate program events, meetings, and workshops.
- Prepare and distribute program communications, such as newsletters, emails, and announcements; help track and manage program marketing and recruitment activities.
- Assist in faculty recruitment and coordination for graduate programs.
- Support faculty around administrative program requirements.
- Coordinate Capstone and comprehensive examinations.
- Ensure program compliance with university policies and regulations; maintain program documentation and policies for CSWE, MHEC, etc.
- Coordinate with various university departments (Various Professional Schools, Enrollment Services, Student Accounts).
- Coordinate with relevant SSW and UMB administrative offices and departments (e.g. Records and Registration, Financial Aid, etc).
