BCBA – Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Strive Center for Autism located in beautiful Burton, Michigan is looking for a BCBA. We are a center-based, family owned company with two locations. Our therapy is tailored to young children diagnosed with Autism (typically ages 2-8) with a strong focus on school readiness. Our highly trained staff implement a customized curriculum while following each BCBA's protocol for their client. Both locations have an outdoor play space and a structured daily schedule.
The building capacity in our Burton location is 12 children, with 2 BCBAs, 2 Lead Therapists, 1 Office Manager and 12-13 RBTs. The supportive team allows BCBAs to focus on their reasonably sized caseloads. Come see for yourself what it's like to work in a place with true work-life balance!
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Be knowledgeable of ABA, behavior management and support strategies, and be able to model these programs in applied settings.
- Be responsible for conducting skill and behavioral assessments
- Upon getting hired will complete background check, fingerprints, CPR and First Aid training.
- Must have a license in the state of Michigan for the coordinating degree and maintain license throughout employment.
- Must have BCBA.
- Assist in recruitment and retention of staff and clients; adjust staffing to meet changing demands for services
- Must have managerial skills to assist in coordinating and supervising of staff while maintaining a level of respect and professionalism.
- Must be able to interact with families and clients on a compassionate yet professional level.
- Be able to manage day to day operations.
- Be able to complete Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Plans.
- Complete behavioral skills assessments utilizing the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment or Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
- Develop treatment protocols/ intensive ABA programs to be incorporated in the Individualized Plan of Services (IPOS).
- Train staff and parents in implementation of ABA programs.
- Collect and summarize data on an ongoing basis. Generate summary reports of progress in ABA programs 1 time per quarter.
- Provide regular supervision to ABA therapist/clinicians (both direct/live supervision as well as indirect supervision). One hour of supervision for every 10 hours of direct services will be provided to each provider (ABA therapist or clinician).
