Role Description

  • Academic Guidance: Helping students set academic goals and develop effective study habits.
  • Social-Emotional Support: Providing individual and group counseling to address issues like anxiety, peer relationships, bullying, or family challenges.
  • Crisis Intervention: Responding to urgent situations such as grief, abuse, or mental health crises, and connecting students and families with appropriate resources.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with teachers, parents, nursing staff, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Program Development: Designing and implementing school-wide programs on topics like conflict resolution, wellness, social emotional well being, and bullying.


Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Education: A master’s degree in school counseling or a closely related field.
  • Licensure/Certification required



Required Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
  • Empathy and discretion when handling sensitive topics.
  • Problem-solving to guide students through academic or personal challenges.
  • Organizational skills for juggling tasks, appointments, documentation, and the ability to to prioritize
