Now Hiring: Full-Time Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)

Location: Suffolk County, NY (Coram & Riverhead) | Schedule: Monday–Friday | No on-call responsibilities

The IMA Group is seeking a Full-Time CASAC to support vital assessments and treatment referrals in partnership with the Suffolk County Department of Social Services. This is a great opportunity to serve your local community in a supportive, structured clinical environment with strong benefits and minimal travel.

Position Overview

  • Pay Range: $25–$27 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Work Locations:
    • Coram, NY (4 days per week)
    • Riverhead, NY (1 day per week)
  • Travel: Local travel between offices (must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation)


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely substance use disorder assessments referred by the Suffolk County DSS
  • Recommend and facilitate appropriate SUD treatment referrals
  • Monitor client participation in OASAS programs
  • Maintain accurate records and obtain treatment consents
  • Collaborate with community providers, SAAM team members, and county agencies
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of local OASAS resources and community-based treatment services


Qualifications

  • Active CASAC credential (required)
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
