About Job

Executive Director / Resident Care Coordinator

We are hiring for an Executive Director / Resident Care Coordinator to lead our senior care homes in Clark County, WA.

This is not just a management role—it’s a leadership position for someone who is ready to serve others, build trust with staff and families, and take full responsibility for the well-being of both our residents and our team.

We don’t believe leadership is about telling people what to do. It’s about showing up, setting the tone, holding people accountable with compassion, and making sure our homes run smoothly—legally, emotionally, and relationally.

If you have strong people skills, a heart for service, and the ability to navigate tough conversations with confidence and empathy, we’d love to talk with you. This role is challenging, fulfilling, and deeply meaningful. You will be the heartbeat of the home.

What type of person are we looking for?

  • You have strong people skills; we’ll talk a lot about this in your interview.
  • You can have difficult conversations with others in a productive way.
  • You can earn trust and respect from others.
  • You don’t need to understand our industry, we can teach you that! We want to know that you understand human relationships and will influence people in a positive way.
  • You have a servant mindset, meaning you want to help others around you. We’re in the service industry!

What would you be doing?

  • You will be the leader and direct contact for our 30-40 staff members.
  • Learn and understand legal stuff – especially Residents Rights (RCW-70.129)
  • Serve the Staff! Our caregivers are working on the ground and it’s your job to serve, support, and help.
  • Help with Hiring! You will assist with recruiting and onboarding new team members.
  • Scheduling! You will oversee scheduling our busy team members.
  • Process, process, process! We want your help managing and ensuring our processes are being followed by team members. This may include training, coaching, and supporting them.
  • Compliance! We need compliance to ensure that our residents are taken care of and are safe. You will help us with this.
  • Staffing terminations. This is never fun, but we need help managing terminations, resignations, exit interviews, and offboarding.
  • There’s more! We can discuss further and review the official job description with you during our interview process.

Why would you like this position?

  • It’s fulfilling! You’ll be able to help others in so many ways, including staff, residents, families, etc.
  • So much opportunity. As a leader of the company, there’s much room for growth for you personally!
  • It’s challenging. If you’re looking for a good challenge to take on, this role will provide many opportunities for learning and growth.

Why might you not like this position?

  • Leadership is hard. Overseeing folks can be emotionally tolling and tricky. If you’ve been in leadership before, you know what we’re talking about.
  • There are many people relying on you. People will be looking at you for answers, support, and coaching making this a demanding role.
  • Scheduling. We have around 40 staff members that need to be scheduled every week and it can be like a puzzle to make it work.

What does it pay?

We are planning to pay $150,000 - $200,000 per year to start, but let’s chat about it! This just depends on your experience and your current leadership and communication skills.

When we interview, what are we going to be looking for?

We will be specific about our questions, depending on how our conversations go. The first conversation will be over the phone, and following interviews will typically be in person. Here is the jist of what we will be looking for:

  • Communication skills: Tell us about difficult conversations you’ve had in the past. How well can you listen? Can you control your emotions during these types of conversations?
  • Hunger: How willing are you to work hard without being pressed? Are you a driven person?
  • Humility: Are you willing to accept accountability for your actions? Do you apologize and admit to your weaknesses?
  • Smart (Emotional Intelligence): How do you handle the relationships around you? Are you able to control or read emotions?
