This role will also involve research duties such as:
- Managing clinical recruitment and enrollment activities, including identifying eligible patients, enrolling participants, scheduling clinical research activities, monitoring participant progress, psychometric assessments and screenings, coordinating and conducting on-site visits to include EEG, ECG, neurocognitive computerized testing procedures, and compensating participants according to study regulations and protocols.
- Managing IRB documents, submits protocol revisions as needed, and maintains compliance records and binders.
- Performs database management procedures and database architecture procedures to configure effective data capture systems and improve user experiences in the RedCap platform.
- Completes all study forms, study protocols, informed consent, and others as needed.

Position Summary:
Administers cognitive, neuropsychological, and academic tests to patients; scores patient test results and provides scoring to Psychologists for evaluation and further treatment of the patient. Assist in Research development and data acquisition, input, and analysis as directed by Neuropsychologists. Assist in day to day management of testing lab technicians, patients, and materials.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Administers computerized neuro ognitive tests of memory, language, sensory-perceptual and motor skills, attention, learning, visuospatial processing, executive functions, and traditional clinical interviewing/clinician-administered diagnostic tests for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and psychological conditions (e.g. MADRS, SCID, ATRQ, CPFQ, Q-LES-Q-SF, etc.) to assist in the evaluation of various patient populations to determine inclusion/exclusion criteria and evaluate response to treatment.
- Utilizes approved methods and techniques in administering standardized tests and works with the study PI in indeitifying diagnosis in accordance with generally accepted norms and methods for such tests.
- Clearly communicates test scores and associated qualitative testing information, and furnishes test results and other clinical observations to Psychologist in a timely and professional manner.
- Assists in the development and submission of research articles and scholarly works. Under the guidance of the Psychologists, assists in developing and conducting research protocols for the Project NAVIGATOR program. Assists with research data input and analysis, and development/submission of research articles and scholarly works as directed by the Psychologists.
- Coordinates the training and education of new Psychometrists, as well as students in the division.
- Assists Psychologists in any testing conducted on patients during surgical procedures.
- Responsible for the acquisition and monitoring of all inventories necessary to meet patient needs.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget with respect to testing inventory and other division needs.
- Develops new testing summary sheets and other documentation methods necessary to ensure effective communication.
- Acts as a liaison between internal staff and external vendors/sponsors.
- Manages Human Resources activities for direct reports in regards to: recruitment and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) preferred (department-dependent).
Certified Specialist in Psychometry (CSP) by Board of Certified Psychometrists (BCP) preferred
Basic computer skills using Windows, Word and Excel.
Ability to interact with a diverse adolescent and adult population in a clinical setting.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Master's in Psychology preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Four years of professional work experience in testing, scoring and associated administrative experience earned under the supervision of licensed psychologist or neuropsychologist. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement. Experience in training/supervising other psychometrists and/or managing a testing lab is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
