While this position begins with a defined coverage focus, it is a permanent role with continued employment beyond the coverage period. Commitment Requirement:
We are seeking a BCBA who can commit to the full duration of the initial coverage period through January 2026, with no planned extended absences. Ongoing employment will continue following the coverage window, with opportunities for continued clinical work and professional development based on organizational needs.

BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Position Overview: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for overseeing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in home, community, and clinic settings. As part of New Summit Behavioral Therapy, the BCBA conducts comprehensive behavioral and skill-based assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and ensures the effective implementation of interventions based on evidence-based practices. Additionally, the BCBA provides training, supervision, and mentorship to Behavior Technicians and other staff, while also supporting parents and caregivers through coaching and consultation.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services & Program Oversight

  • Conduct behavioral assessments (e.g., functional analyses) and skill-based assessments (e.g., ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS).
  • Develop and implement individualized ABA treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Oversee ABA programs, ensuring intervention strategies align with best practices and ethical standards.
  • Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group sessions as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to monitor treatment progress, making adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct monthly clinic/progress meetings with parents/guardians to review treatment plans and client progress.
  • Ensure treatment fidelity by supervising and training Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other direct care staff.
  • Maintain and protect client confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Supervision & Staff Development

  • Provide training and mentorship to RBTs, BCaBAs, and other responsible team members.
  • Ensure RBTs meet BACB supervision requirements and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Oversee treatment integrity by conducting regular overlaps and fidelity checks.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Trainer and Summit Guide to support staff growth and professional development.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with families, caregivers, school personnel, and interdisciplinary teams to promote generalization of skills.
  • Ensure compliance with BACB, insurance, and company standards for service delivery and documentation.
  • Assist with medical billing processes for ABA services, ensuring correct coding and submission.
  • Stay current on ABA research, best practices, and clinical advancements through ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports in behavioral software (e.g., CentralReach).
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.

Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree or national equivalent in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as verified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs.
  • Active Oregon Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) licensure strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies, learning theories, and instructional methods.
  • Familiarity with ABA-related assessments, treatment protocols, and ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to mentor and support team members.
  • Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ABA software platforms (e.g., CentralReach).

Other Requirements

  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history background check.
  • Satisfactory reference checks.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. when required.

Compensation: Competitive salary contingent upon meeting the established expectation of 22 billable hours per week. A quarterly bonus structure is available for exceeding billable hour targets. Benefits include:

Reports to:
Clinical Director – Ensures clinical integrity and alignment with best practices.
Executive Director(s) – Oversees agency-wide strategy and compliance.
