Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor (LADC/ADC-T) at Addiction Health Center located in North Saint Paul, MN. The Counselor will be responsible for providing addiction counseling services to clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver treatment services such as individual counseling, group counseling, psychoeducation, and case management within your scope of practice.
- Prepare and maintain treatment plans, comprehensive assessments, and discharge summaries in compliance with MN 245G standards and statutes.
- Comply with MN Statute Rule 245G requirements regarding timely and accurate documentation
- Provide support and intervention in crisis situations
- Assist client with developing a continuing care plan which supports ongoing recovery
- Collaborate with other treatment providers, placement agencies, and referral sources to ensure seamless client care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including LADC, treatment coordinators, peer recovery specialists, and mental health practitioners.
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current MN LADC or ADC-T certification.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with MN 245G requirements.
- Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain quickly.
- Tech-Savviness: Proficient with computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
- Dependability: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from North St. Paul, MN
- Background Check: Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study.
- Cultural Competency: Ability to connect and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
