We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health services within a correctional facility. This role is vital in supporting the mental well-being of inmate patients through clinical assessments, crisis intervention, therapy, and comprehensive treatment planning under the direction of facility mental health leadership.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted LCSW license
• Minimum of 36 months of continuous experience in the last 5 years providing similar services in a public or private institution (internships do not qualify).
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Proficient in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively in a clinical and correctional environment.
• Must meet all facility-required security and background clearance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Under supervision from senior mental health professionals, the LCSW will:

• Perform clinical assessments, suicide risk evaluations, and mental status exams.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and emergency on-call services.
• Prepare diagnostic reports, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with institutional guidelines.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings and collaborate with medical and custody staff.
• Maintain safety and order within the institution while delivering therapeutic services.
• Assist inmates with pre-release planning, referrals to community programs, and entitlement applications (e.g., SSI).
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment plans (when approved).
• Fulfil mandated reporting requirements (e.g., child/elder abuse, Tarasoff duties).
