About Job

The RBT/ABA Behavior Technician plays a critical role in providing treatment to children with various developmental disabilities in an all-inclusive therapy/classroom environment, ABA clinic, and home-based setting. Success in this position means implementing program target instructions and treatment strategies with fidelity, maintaining open communication and teamwork, and upholding L.I.F.E.’s mission and values.


Job Details: Full-Time HOURLY Pay Rates = $20.00 - $31.50, dependent on education and experience in the field of ABA 

 

$1000 Commitment Bonus, 25% at 3 months, 25% at 6 months, and 50% at one year


Responsibilities

- Implement all program target instructions and treatment strategies within an intensive behavioral plan, as designed by the Program Manager (Behavior Analyst/Masters Level Clinician) to ensure fidelity of treatment.

- Follow the ABA department's job expectations across environments.

- Display open communication and teamwork with the clinical and management team.

- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

- Uphold L.I.F.E.’s mission and values during service time with clients and their families.

- Understand and acknowledge the limitations of their experience.

- Recognize when a problem behavior exceeds their level of competence, and seek assistance from the Program Manager or member of a clinical team.

- Maintain a professional relationship with the families and avoid any dual relationships.

- Increase knowledge and maintain professional development by participating in ongoing training.

- Uphold the ethical guidelines as outlined by the BACB.

- Demonstrate self-motivation, high energy, and good moral character.

- Maintain documentation of each client session by completing session notes within Catalyst.

- Perform standard administrative duties and any additional related duties as assigned.

- Execute all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed by the ABA department’s management team.


Qualifications

Education: Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least 3 months of experience with children is preferred.

Skills:

 - Knowledge, skills, and experience sufficient to fulfill the position's requirements.

 - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; online documentation; effective communication skills/ability to professionally promote direct support services.

Certifications:

 - Fingerprinting, fingerprint clearance, and disclosure statement regarding criminal record signed by applicant.

 - Provide three (3) references (forms provided).

 - Current CPR and First aid certification (originals must be provided for copy and file).

 - Proof of training and proficiency in A.A.C. Title 6, Chapter 6, Article 9.

 - Prevention and Support Certification.
