About Us: Join our dedicated team at The Emerge Center, where we strive to provide exceptional ABA-based services to children and their families.
We are hiring for two distinct positions: a school-based BCBA with a caseload of no more than 4-8 clients and a center-based BCBA with a caseload of no more than 7-15 clients. Each BCBA will oversee a team of 6-8 full-time Registered Line Technicians (RLTs), ensuring personalized and impactful care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ABA-based programming and services both in-clinic and in-school.
- Conduct skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating assessment results, parental input, and client goals.
- Maintain accurate and current treatment records.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Complete paperwork for service authorization two weeks before treatment starts or renewal.
- Complete all therapeutic, supervision, and billing documentation within 24 hours.
- Update data collection systems and disseminate relevant information to the team.
- Handle all case-related activities and anticipate case needs.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff, parents, and clients.
- Conduct training sessions for parents, caregivers, and the community.
- Provide regular progress updates to parents and caregivers.
- Interview and select RLTs and volunteers.
- Provide education and training to staff and volunteers.
- Assist staff in becoming certified RLTs through the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board and Registered Behavior Technicians through the BACB.
- Offer constructive feedback to staff on clinical and professional skills.
- Supervise individuals working towards BCBA or BCaBA certification after one year of employment.
- Attend and actively participate in various staff meetings.
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education and workshops.
- Utilize safe handling procedures with clients.
- Adhere to agency safety policies and procedures.
- Support clients during leisure activities, including lunch and playtime.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA laws.
- Follow the BACB code of ethics.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sanitizing toys and work areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance in terms of clothing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Assist in developing strategic and long-term plans for the ABA program.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Licensed Behavior Analyst or Clinic Director.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods.
- Ability to read and comprehend written communication.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Ability to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
- Must maintain all required certifications and licenses, including CPR, Licensed Behavior Analyst through the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board, and BCBA certification through the BACB.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing ABA-based treatment plans.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
- Must display extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis
- Currently certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board in good standing.
- Currently licensed as a Louisiana Behavior Analyst with the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board
- Credentialed as a BCBA supervisor within six months of employment.
Preferred:
- Currently credentialed as a supervisor
- At least one year of work experience as a BCBA
