Pay Information
$275 to $300 per hour

About The Position

Practice Setting: Inpatient
Patients: Up to 36 inpatients (28 adults, 8 adolescents) among 3 psychiatrists
Average Daily Census: ~26 patients
Support Team: 3 Psychiatrists, 10 APPs (You will supervise 2)
EMR: Cerner
Other Resources: Onsite lab and pharmacy

Job Responsibilities

Inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents (ages 8–17) and adults
Medication management, therapy collaboration, and discharge planning
APP supervision (chart reviews, order co-signing, clinical support)

Working Hours

Shifts: 8 AM – 5 PM
Shifts per Month: Varies based on need
Clinic Days: Monday–Friday OR 7-days
On Call: Every 3rd day (Daytime only: 8 AM – 5 PM)
No overnight call!

Board Certification in Psychiatry – Required (Can accept Board Eligible)
Fellowship Trained in Psychiatry – Required
Iowa Medical License or IMLC Eligibility – Required
