An opportunity has arisen for a skilled social worker to provide essential support in a middle school setting. This contract position is focused on delivering comprehensive social services to students during a leave of absence, ensuring their emotional and academic needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher.
- Current state licensure as a social worker.
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop individualized plans for students.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Cultural competence and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to understand student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to promote a positive school environment.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on social-emotional learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student interactions and progress.
