About Job

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing community outreach presentations and supportive services to victims of domestic violence within Carter, Greene and Unicoi Counties. Primary work location is in Erwin.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide community outreach presentations in person or via the web, lethality assessments, safety planning, information and referrals, service/case management, crisis intervention and follow up services using a trauma informed approach
  • Build relationships with community partners
  • Answer hotline crisis calls on a rotating basis to include holiday rotation.
  • Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes
  • Transport clients to necessary appointments
  • Provide case management and other trauma informed services to survivors of domestic violence.
  • Provides COVID related information to clients.

Requirements:

  • Posses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective computer literacy skills
  • Be detail oriented
  • Ability to provide effective, immediate crisis intervention for victims and to work effectively to de-escalate crisis situations.
  • Posses a valid TN Drivers License
  • Pass a Background check-No criminal record
  • Pass a Drug Screening
  • Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience in social work or related field
