Required Licensure:
Current MN Teaching License: School Social Worker with Masters Degree
Current Social Work License: LGSW, LISW or LICSW
Responsibilities:
- Experience with at-risk school-age youth
- Ability to work successfully with students and adults of various economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of special education procedures
- Work with students individually and in groups
- Work with students in special education and general education
- Assist with collaboration among teachers, students, families, and community to meet educational needs
- Provide case management services
- Conduct assessments
- Lead groups on a variety of topics
- Provide Crisis intervention assessment and service, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address student needs
- Facilitate/co-facilitate restorative circles/mediation
- Facilitate/co-facilitate restorative circles/mediation
- Liaison to community building resources: Washburn Therapist, Phase Zero, Cornerstone
- HHM building lead
- Consultation with teachers, teams re: student emotional well-being and academic progress
