Summary
The Psychologist will administer psychological testing and provide outpatient psychotherapy (family and individual therapy) to clients ages 3-18 and their families. The Psychologist should have knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development, as well as experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Experience with ADHD, autism, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. May be assigned to work with specialty populations or across several clinic locations.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am - 5 pm (1 day remote to complete report writing).
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
Current Texas Licensed Psychologist or ability to obtain. Note: will consider a Provisionally Licensed Psychologist if close to full licensure.
Training in child growth and development required.
Experience with ADHD, autism, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred.
Prior experience working with the pediatric/adolescent age group in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills.
Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice.
Basic Life Support / CPR certification prior to start.
