Mental Health Coordinator – Correctional Facility

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Coordinator to provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature within a correctional facility. This role involves assessing mental health needs, delivering therapy, maintaining documentation, and supporting inmates with appropriate mental health interventions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to inmates.
• Maintain accurate and confidential treatment records for each individual.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to meet the needs of the caseload.
• Support a therapeutic environment while ensuring security and compliance with facility policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a similar role.
• Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in the state of employment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $56.14 - $61.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
