About Job

Crisis Services is seeking a Program Supervisor to provide direction and management of the onboarding, training and development of staff for our Crisis Counseling Program (24-hour crisis hotline). This position is a member of the department management team and the organization’s Leadership Team.

About This Opportunity

The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing daily on-site supervisory consultation and administrative oversight to new staff/volunteers/interns in the Crisis Counseling Program (CCP), our 24-hour crisis hotline. They will directly supervise a Training Specialist and develop and maintain the CCP Volunteer and Internship programs. In addition, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining our internal CCP, AAS and 988 Lifeline training curricula. They will also facilitate and manage reporting on staff performance, quality assurance, individual progress data, and other information needed for performance/compliance metrics.

Job Type

  • Full Time, 40 hours/week

Pay

  • $61,000 per year

Schedule

  • Flexible within regular business hours, with some evening hours, as needed
  • Monday through Friday
  • Responsible for participation in rotating Crisis Hotline Management on-call supervisory consult responsibilities outside of scheduled work week

Work Setting

  • On-site with some remote working flexibility provided

What You Will Bring To This Position

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related Human Service field requiring licensure.
  • LMSW OR LMHC or correlating licensure for a related Human Service field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in mental health services and substance abuse/addictions preferred.
  • Experience with suicidology, substance abuse and the addictions field, including crisis situations and quickly establishing rapport with clients.
  • Prior experience managing volunteers or interns preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health dynamics and effects, public awareness, and crisis intervention services as well a strong knowledge of addiction, chemical dependency and dual diagnosis.
  • Superior knowledge of HIPAA laws/regulations regarding protected health information; code of ethics, confidentiality and privacy principles.
  • Proven skills and knowledge of principles and methods for training and curriculum design; teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Able to maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility, and experience in working on multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Able to set goals and create timelines for implementation.
  • Demonstrates a high level of compassion, empathy, confidentiality and understanding for clients.
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion, manages complex projects, and establishes priorities in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team to accomplish goals.
  • Strong demonstrated data analysis and reporting skills and experience, including above average ability with reporting tools and statistical/data programming (Microsoft Suite, Excel).
  • Strong demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and develop effective interpersonal relationships with team members, clients, and staff.
  • Demonstrated judgment, empathy, and ethical values and abilities that align with Agency goals and values.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with people from all cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic, gender identity, sexual orientation, professional backgrounds and the intersections of all identities.
