Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counselor – CSC-AD, LGADC, LGPCResidential Treatment, Adult Male, SUD & Co-OccurringFull-time, Permanent, $60K–$77K, Supervision, Benefits, Silver Spring, MDHealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking a Certified or Licensed Graduate Counselor (CSC-AD, LGADC, LGPC) for a full-time, permanent role providing integrated mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) therapy in a 6-month residential treatment setting.This is an ideal opportunity for mission-driven professionals passionate about helping adult men achieve lasting recovery. New grads are welcome — supervision and structured onboarding are provided.CSC-AD, LGADC, LGPC - Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counselor Responsibilities:
  • Work Monday–Friday in a structured residential program
  • Provide individual therapy twice weekly for each client (caseload: 8)
  • Lead one daily group therapy session for residential clients
  • Deliver trauma-informed care to adult men with co-occurring disorders
  • Coordinate your daily schedule with flexibility and autonomy
  • Complete documentation and case management tasks
  • Communicate with probation or court stakeholders as needed
  • Receive 3–6 weeks of training before independent caseload management
CSC-AD, LGADC, LGPC - Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counselor Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Maryland licensure: CSC-AD, LGADC, or LGPC
  • Passion for substance use recovery and mental health integration
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and follow-through
  • Must reside commutable to zip code 20910
CSC-AD, LGADC, LGPC - Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counselor Compensation & Benefits:
  • $60K–$70K for Bachelor's-level counselors
  • $75K–$77K for Master's-level clinicians
