Purpose of this position:
Provide services to students-at-risk in the school setting including, but not limited to: identifying students at risk, support, crisis intervention, postvention, and stabilization. This position also incorporates involvement with the district's S.A.P. Teams in the role of mental health consultant. 20% (8 hrs.) of the employee's time shall be designated to remote outpatient therapy at licensed sites within the SAP locales. The employee is entitled to and required to have an annual written evaluation, which is arranged between the supervisor and the employee. In the event there is a disagreement about the evaluation, the employee has the right to utilize the agency's defined grievance procedures.
The Outpatient Therapist position provides services that include diagnostic bio-psycho social assessments, individual, group and family therapy, substance abuse screenings, trauma exposure screenings, domestic violence screenings, psychiatric evaluations, psychological evaluations, medication assessments and medication monitoring. The Outpatient Therapist serves children, adolescents, families and adults who might have difficulty functioning in their community, home, or school.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of professional casework principles, practices, and methodology
- Knowledge of individual and group dynamics
- Utilization of a variety of modalities and techniques to address the needs of each client and their family
- Perform mental health clinical intake assessments on children and adults

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field from an accredited school
- Must possess training and experience that has achieved recognition as a mental health worker
- Master's Degree/Licensed preferred
