We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist for a contract position in a supportive school district in Monroe, Michigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives while enjoying the unique charm of this historic city.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Monroe, MI
- Start Date: August 1, 2025
- End Date: May 22, 2026
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Student Age Range: K-12
- Experience: Preferred
Your Impactful Role:
As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting student success and well-being. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Interpreting assessment results and developing individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams.
- Providing direct and indirect services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies.
- Consulting with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs and promote positive learning environments.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of school-wide initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan (MI) 310 Certificate is required. You must be willing to get licensed in the working state.
- Active professional license.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs.
